It’s a shame that innocent people always pay the price in wars with different agendas.

Though religion has become a more controversial topic in recent times, we can all agree that people go to houses of worship to feel secure and hope for better days.

In Islam, it is said that if one is killed or dies during prayer, they will immediately be sent to heaven and given the status of martyrdom.

It’s just shocking that the one’s, who have taken these innocent lives, call themselves ‘Muslims’ as well.

For the Qu’ran says: “Whoever kills a person…it is as if he has killed all of mankind”.

Friday afternoon saw one of the largest acts of terror to date in Egypt as a Sufi Mosque became a target of the so-called Islamic State in the Sinai province.

During Jummah in the Al-Radwa Mosque of Bir al-Abed, a large-scale terror attack had been perpetrated by a reported 30 attackers, as a bomb went off inside the Mosque while a dozen gunmen waited outside to shoot those evading.

The Egyptian authorities have confirmed that the death toll on Friday has rounded up to 305 people in the small town residing the Sinai Desert.

Officials have also stated that the culprits in the massacre bared the flag of the IS group while wearing military gear and masks.

Out of the 300 killed 30 have been confirmed to be young children.

After the attack, President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi vowed to the public to respond with “the utmost force” as the Egyptian military have started conducting airstrikes on suspected terrorist camps.

“The armed forces and the police will avenge our martyrs and restore security and stability with the utmost force,” Sisi addressed to the public on TV.

The problem with today is that we allow Zealots to let their political beliefs corrupt the minds of other pious people.

Not only that, we respond to acts of violence with more violence in which the innocent are branded as ‘collateral damage’ when killed.

No one wins in war. It only exists to profit the few and punish the many.
