For many decades Weinstein has been abusing his position of power in Hollywood trying to have affairs with young attractive women, who turned to him believing he could turn water into wine and make their dreams come true; all of this was kept silent under fears of losing their jobs, or in some other cases with pay offs.

On October 5, 2017, the journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey reported for the first-time sexual harassment allegations against Weinstein in The New York Times, thirty-two actresses have come out since then, telling about their experience of sexual assault received from the Hollywood mogul.

Being one of the co-founder of Miramax, an entertainment company, who then left to found The Weinstein Company, he had access to some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood who wished to start their career as actresses.

In most cases, he invited those women to work dinners or parties.

He would often arrange for them to come to his hotel room where he was waiting naked, only wrapped in a bath towel ready to ask them for massages.

Amongst all the women he harassed during his career as film producer, there are famous names, such as Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cara Delevigne and Romola Garai, some of them as young as eighteen.

Angelina Jolie recently told the New York Times her experience, during the release in the nineties of Playing by Heart he made sexual advances to her which she refused, later she chose not to work with him ever again: “I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth and as a result chose never to work with him again”.

On another occasion, he tried his vicious technique with Gwyneth Paltrow.

She told the New York Times that when she was 22 and she was just hired for the Jane Austin adaptation of Emma, he brought her to his hotel room asking for a massage, she said she refused but she kept it secret, fearing for her leading role in the movie.

Another famous woman that came out against him is Rosanna Arquette, who starred in one of Miramax best movies Pulp Fiction, she told the New Yorker he pulled her hand towards his penis but she refused to perform any sexual act and her career suffered for that.

As reported by the Guardian, in an article from October 11, Weinstein’s spokeswoman said in a statement that any allegations of non-consensual sex are denied by Mr Weinstein and he believes that these relationships were consensual.

After all the allegations were made public he was fired from the Weinstein Company.

Also, his wife, Georgina Chapman, co-founder of the fashion label Marchesa, who has two kids with Weinstein, announced she is divorcing him.

Other allegations of a different nature have now come out, saying that Weinstein had told notorious stars what to wear on the red carpet, forcing them to wear Marchesa, his wife brand, threatening their career if they didn’t.
